Identifying your Male Body-type and their suitable styles.

To identify your body type stand in front of a full-length, upright mirror and notice the relationship between your shoulders, waist and hips as a guide to your true shape. Having knowledge of  your body shape can assist you to choose clothing that looks great and fits you well. 
There is no ideal body type. The goal is to balance the elements. Depending on your body type different clothes  will suit you better than others. Have a look at the following body types and learn more about the individual body that belongs to you. These are some tips to keep in mind when dressing your particular body type.

Triangle -  this shape carry more weight in their lower half and have a chest that is narrower than their hips. 

  • Wear well fitted clothing
  • Single breasted tops
  • Button downs
  • Polo shirts
  • Straight leg Trousers 
  • Go for darker clothes on top
  • Avoid horizontal Stripes

Inverted Triangle - includes a broad chest and wide shoulders matched with developed chest, arm and shoulder muscles. The waist and hips on this type are generally narrow. 

  • Straight or relaxed slim cut pants
  • Wear belts
  • Go for pant with pockets
  • Use V neck tops
  • Avoid 3/4 sleeves
  • Use shorter sleeves unless its a formal occasion
  • Avoid padded jackets

Rectangle - this body type includes a chest, waist, and hips that are about the same width, paired with a straight torso.

  • Layer your shirts
  • Avoid double breasted tops
  • Use V neck sweaters with collared shirts
  • Circular necks and scarves
  • Use structured blazers and jackets

Oval -  your appearance tends to be round, with a pronounced stomach.

  • No polo tops or wide neck tops
  • Wear vertical and pinned stripe
  • Tapered trousers
  • Keep belts simple
  • Add interest with a pop of color

Trapezoid -  this body type is proportioned with medium to narrow waist and hips, a broad shoulder and chest, with the upper torso is usually larger than the lower torso.

  • All mos anything works
  • Nothing too tight
  • Not too baggy either
  • Slim cut jeans and Khakis
  • Form fitting clothes are best

  1. I must say that love how you expressed that there is no ideal body type. However, as sad as it is to say, I think this realization is mainly understood by men. Although they (men) are not bothered by the diversity I dont think most of them fully grasp the concept of how important it is to dress to enhance their body type. But I have never really paid detailed attention to the diversity of body type in men in this way either, so this was very informative to learn, I got some great tips for the special men in my life! thanks :)
